Key Session Players
Punjabi folk veterans...
Juggy Rihal
Dhol, Dolki and Tabla
It would be very difficult to put a number on how many desi songs Juggy has appeared on, no doubt in the hundreds, and that’s before you think about how a producer can manipulate and recycle a performance from one song and fit it onto many other songs. Anyway its a big number!
Juggy is a master percussionist with a feel, an understanding, and a passion for Punjabi folk music old and new.
Some producers are content to use standard dhol, dolki and tabla samples, but when you’re looking for an authentic traditional feel you need a man like Juggy Rihal.
Paul Sampson
Guitars, Bass and Mandolin
Paul’s first experience of Indian music was in the mid eighties, working as right hand man to renowned music producer Baldev Mastana, and later with the legendary Charanjit Ahuja.
Always the consummate professional, Paul brings the knowledge and positivity that producers need to fill in the blanks and add musical substance to their productions.
Playing acoustic, nylon, electric and bass guitars, as well as mandolin and even tumbi, Paul has made a massive contribution to desi music for over thirty five years and counting.
